Metallic elements rotating along a vertical axis creating  chaotic hyperbolic lines holding up the most calm and pure shape of all: the sphere.

These shapes are not bound by a contrast but it’s the cooperation between elements to give meaning to the work.

Chaos does not stop, but it adapts to the calm it finds on its route. You need to be lucidly mad to fight against the chaos and darkness.

EQUILIBRIO by DECUMANI™ is much more. A triangular base that supports a sphere, and it’s in these pure geometrical shapes that a unique menaning of “balance” is hidden.

The triangle is the perfect geometric figure distinguished by sharp edges symbolizing those challenges with deal with everyday. In EQUILIBRIO the triangle is the base of a pedestal that does not show any sharp edge but the gentle curves of a sphere designed to represent the ability to adapt to and overcome those challenges.

When a person looks at a sphere, the mind automatically thinks at a moving object, something spinning, able to stand thanks to its shape. The concept behind EQUILIBRIO alters the usual idea because often, to keep the balance, we need to stay still.

 

The rough geometry of the triangle supports the smooth shape of the sphere, preventing it from moving, creating a new perfect balance which is the meaning behind this work of art. We need to adapt to events, absorbe them and overcome them, sometime going against the tide.
